Go and download Black Mesa Source
Just do it. It’s free and if you have any Steam games that use the Source engine, it will work. If not, you can download an SDK kit, also for free, and it will work.
I’m only a couple chapters and it’s already been an amazing experience. I’m stunned at how good the game looks and how well it plays. It’s the Half-Life we deserve, the Half-Life for the ages.
Huge props to the Black Mesa team. They don’t even accept donations, that’s how awesome they are.
