"Italians admire Germans, but don’t love them - Germans love Italians, but don’t admire them.”

That’s only halfway true. One example: as a Teuton you have to learn English the hard way - whether you like it or not. The admirable talent of our loveable italian friends is to invent english while they speak, as demonstrated by italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in this video.

The Pitchforks Are Coming… For Us Plutocrats

by Nick Hanauer

"But let’s speak frankly to each other. I’m not the smartest guy you’ve ever met, or the hardest-working. I was a mediocre student. I’m not technical at all—I can’t write a word of code. And what do I see in our future now?

I see pitchforks.”

Airships - In Focus - The Atlantic

The U.S. Navy’s dirigible Los Angeles, upended after a turbulent wind from the Atlantic flipped the 700-foot airship on its nose at Lakehurst, New Jersey, in 1926. The ship slowly righted itself and there were no serious injuries to the crew of 25. (AP Photo)
